if you check the "use voice control area" check box on the sdcb controller, the phrase will be played with the preset volume value. if the check box is not checked, the volume setting of "ch vol" will be reflected. even if you change the volume setting during phrase playback, the volume during playback will not change.
the file formats that can be read by the speech lsi utility are as follows. file format: riff waveform audio format (extension: wav) sampling frequency: 4 to 96 [khz] bit resolution: 16[bit] or 8[bit] number of channels: 1 (monaural) codec: linear pcm in addition, stereotype files with two channels will be read after being converted to monaural type by the conversion function of the speech lsi utility.
switching between crystal oscillator/ceramic oscillator and built-in rc oscillator is set in the speech lsi utility used when creating voice code data. please see "4.2.1.2.10. user setting parameter dialog (ml22(q)53x/62x/66x)" in the speech lsi utility user's manual. please select “source clock oscillation” here. please select “x'tal” when using an external clock.
please load the wav file into the lapis original tool speech lsi utility and convert it to data for speech synthesis lsi. you can replay the sound code data generated here.
version information can be added to the sound code data. please refer to "4.2.11. user setting parameter dialog box(ml22 (q) 53x / 62x / 66x)" in the speech lsi utility user's manual. 8-bit information can be added with "speech rom information" in the upper left.
the added information can be read with the rdver command.
the checksum cannot be confirmed on the speech lsi utility screen. it is described at the end of the information file (xxx.inf) generated when create rom is performed. the following is an example of the checksum at the end of the information file. in this case, the checksum is "6bf7h".
when creating sound code data with speech lsi utility, select 4.000mhz as the master clock frequency (fosc). this setting adjusts the sampling frequency to match the master clock frequency.
there are three ways to write to the built-in flash during mass production.
(1) write and ship at lapis factory (2) write by the customer with a third-party flash writer (write using the flash memory interface) (3) write using the clock synchronous serial interface of the mcu command interface
for details on the flash memory rewrite function, refer to "function description" and "flash memory rewrite function" in the data sheet.
